Wonderland Tarot Deck

[Emperor] [Lovers] The Wonderland Tarot is based on Lewis Carroll's well-known books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This deck is the work of Christopher and Morgana Abbey. Morgana drew inspiration for her images from Sir John Tenniel who illustrated the original Alice stories. Many of the familiar characters in the Wonderland books are pictured in the major arcana; sometimes in curious and intriguing ways. The minor arcana suits also echo the theme: peppermills, hats, flamingos and oysters. The numbered suit cards are identified in standard playing card fashion. This is a somewhat whimsical deck, but it has a deeper side as well...much like Carroll's tales. I wonder if Alice would have said of the Wonderland Tarot "Who care's for you?...You're nothing but a pack of cards!"
